Roadway Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage roadway/highway design projects from start to finish (geometric design drainage coordination maintenance of traffic and traffic control plans)
  
• Prepare project scopes budgets and schedules
  
• Monitor progress of multiple projects manage risks and implement corrective actions
  
• Lead internal multidisciplinary teams
  
• Serve as primary client contact for IDOT districts and local agencies
  
• Coordinate projects with utility companies permitting agencies and other stakeholders
  
• Develop proposals scopes and fee estimates for new pursuits
  
• Oversee QA/QC processes
  
• Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate (calculations meeting minutes and deliverables)
  
• Mentor/train junior staff
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or degree in Civil Engineering
  
• Masters degree preferred
  
• 8 years of experience working on IDOT Illinois Counties and Illinois Local Agencies transportation projects
  
• Illinois Professional Engineer license
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of IDOT standards procedures and project delivery process
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  
• Ability to maintain budget schedule and quality objectives
  
• Proficient with roadway design tools such as MicroStation/OpenRoads or similar CAD platforms and Microsoft Office for project documentation and reporting
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
