Job Summary
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing:
- Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the hiring state and/or compact state licensure.
- Must maintain licensure and meet all applicable State Board of Nursing requirements.
- WCC (Wound Care Certified) or WOCN (Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse) certification.
- Regularly push pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Ability to:
- Grip
- Reach
- Bend
- Kneel
- Twist
- Squat
- Prescribe delegate coordinate and oversee nursing care for patients requiring wound and ostomy care.
- Assess and monitor complex wounds.
- Develop and implement wound treatment plans.
- Identify and monitor signs of infection.
- Clean and manage wounds safely and effectively.
- Treat various wound types including:
- Surgical wounds
- Ulcers
- Pressure injuries (decubitus ulcers)
- Feeding tube sites
- Abscesses
- Educate clinical staff and other healthcare team members on proper wound care practices.
