Job Summary
SummaryAccountable for interpreting the plan of medical care assessment of patients clinical decision-making regarding nursing care assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner providing individualized nursing care and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Essential Functions
-Maintain accurate detailed reports and records.
-Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
-Record patients medical information and vital signs.
-Monitor record and report symptoms or changes in patients conditions.
-Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess plan implement or evaluate patient care plans.
-Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients responses and conditions.

- Ellison 7 is a fast-paced 36-bed adult inpatient trauma/surgical unit
- This unit is an exciting environment where the interventions are cutting-edge. Patients come from all over the globe for the specialty care our nursing and physician staff provide.
- Patients on this unit have sustained a multi-trauma event and/or have had surgery. Our surgical patients are recovering from all types of surgeries (mainly abdominal and cancer surgeries)
- Candidates are asked to be active membersof Ellison 7senvironment of learning.As aDedicated Educational Unit Ellison 7 partners with nursing schools across Boston and often has clinical groups.

Qualifications
- BSN strongly preferred
- Current Massachusetts RN license required
- A minimum of one year of experience is required
- Must be able to work day/night rotation weekends and 8 or 12-hour shifts
