Job Summary

Assists in the planning coordination implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manger. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.

Weekend Supervisor - Orthopedics

Full Time Days 36 hours/week

7a-7p Fri/Sat/Sun

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.

  • Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisor experience preferred.

  • Bachelors degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push pull and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.

  • Ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat to perform duties.
