Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork. The incumbent in this position shall carry out his or her responsibilities and integrate into his or her work ethic the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering respect for human life and the dignity of each person applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he or she has communicating with patients families visitors and employees a caring friendly personal and professional approach is expected. As a Registered Nurse you will:
Provide professional nursing care and patient assessments
Monitor patient conditions and record vital signs
Assist physicians with examinations treatments and procedures
Administer medications injections and IV therapies
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care
Document clinical information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
Respond effectively to urgent and emergent patient situations
Collaborate with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
Maintain a safe clean and patient-focused environment
Work in a specialized Heart Hospital setting

State-of-the-art technology and resources
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
- Basic computer and electronic medical record skills
- Previous nursing experience in cardiac acute care specialty or hospital settings
- Experience with IV therapy and patient education
