Description:

Position Purpose:

TheInterventional Radiology RN assists with all the procedures such as Ultrasound CT and Neurology cases. The schedule is 0630-1600 (4 nine-hour shifts) pluson-call.The Team will typically take 10 on-call shifts within a 6-week schedule.PreviousICU experience ispreferred butnot.

The RN Specialist within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each persons physical emotionalsocialand spiritual needs.The RN Specialist oversees and coordinates nursing care for the patients in the DepartmentOfRadiology.Responsibilities include assessing andidentifyingpatient needs implementingappropriate intervention and evaluating and documenting outcomes.Acts as a liaison between Patient Care Services and the Department of Radiology Services.Assistsphysicians / technologists asduring diagnostic / therapeutic procedures.

What you will do:

  • Provides nursing care ensures an environment of patient safety promotes evidence-based practice and qualityinitiativesandexhibitsprofessionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program.

  • Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patientsutilizingevidence-based practice. Collaborates withpatientand family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical spiritual and educational components.

  • Accurately communicates toappropriate teammembersin a timely mannerKeepspatient/family appraised/updated.

  • Documents accurately and completelypertinentassessmentsinterventionsand outcomes for patientsin accordance withdocumentation standards policies procedures and or guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from school of nursing

  • Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

  • Experience: A minimum of twoyearsmedical / surgical experience. Critical care experience preferred or Radiology RN certification.
