The RNs inour Post Anesthesia Care unit play a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health.
The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia. PACU nurses and staff monitor patients closely manage post-operative pain and ensure a smooth transition into to recovery contributing to the overall success of surgical interventions and patient well-being.

RN job details:

Essential Job Duties:

• Collaborates with the physician or manager to determineneedsof patients
• Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
• Contributes toplanof care for pre-defined patient problems.
• Respects patients rights including the right to inform privacy confidentiality and the right to refuse care.
• Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
• Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
• Assists the physician with special procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program
• Must have Indiana RN license
• PreviousRN experience preferred

License/Certification:

• BLS ACLS certification
• IN RN license
