We are seeking an experienced OB/L&D Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Viroqua Wisconsin. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled maternal-child nurse with strong Labor & Delivery postpartum and mother-baby care experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

The RN will provide compassionate patient-centered care throughout labor delivery recovery and postpartum while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to labor & delivery postpartum and mother-baby patients

• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery

• Assist physicians during deliveries and obstetric procedures

• Perform postpartum assessments and newborn care

• Administer medications IV therapy and treatments as ordered

• Educate mothers and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care

• Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC EMR

• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and neonatal situations

• Collaborate with physicians lactation consultants and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies patient safety standards and infection prevention protocols

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required

• Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

• Current BLS Certification required

• Current NRP Certification required

• Strong maternal-child nursing and critical thinking skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

• Ability to work independently in a Critical Access Hospital setting

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

• Experience in postpartum and mother-baby care required

• Experience in rural or Critical Access Hospital settings preferred
