Overview:

We are high-paced high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby Well Newborn Care along Post Womens Surgical unit. Within our unit we have:40-MB rooms15-LDR rooms14-High Risk Antepartum8-bed OBED unit4-LIBC Birthing Suites and4-Pre Post Rooms 3-OR suites (where we circulate all of our own cases). We also have Full time Lactation Consultants who see both inpatient and outpatients. Mercy OKC is the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and second leading in the Ministry. Our teams offer a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family Womens Center.

Nurses are expected to maintain competencies in Labor & Birth Antepartum and OB Emergency Department and may be assigned to float between these departments based on patient care needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

  • Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push pull and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat to perform duties

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
