Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to healthy newborns during their first days of life.
- Monitor infant health perform newborn assessments and recognize changes in condition.
- Partner with physicians lactation consultants and the obstetric team to provide seamless family-centered care.
- Educate and support parents on newborn care feeding safety and discharge planning.
- Foster a warm welcoming environment where families feel confident and supported.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire)
Experience:
- Previous Mother/Baby Nursery Labor & Delivery NICU or pediatric nursing experience preferred
Certificate/License:
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa
