Schedule: Days 40 Hours/Week
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Traveler Pay: $85$90/hr ($3400$3600 weekly) based on experience
- Local Pay: $70$75/hr ($2800$3000 weekly) based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Educator for a 13-week assignment in New York NY. The Nurse Educator will support staff development clinical education and training initiatives while promoting high-quality patient care and evidence-based nursing practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in perioperative and Med/Surg nursing along with experience educating and supporting nursing staff in an acute care environment.
- Develop and implement educational programs and training initiatives for nursing staff
- Support onboarding orientation and ongoing clinical competency development
- Provide staff education related to nursing standards patient safety and best practices
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
- Maintain compliance with facility policies regulatory standards and evidence-based practices
- Assist with competency assessments continuing education and skills validation
- Promote professional development and quality patient care initiatives
- Maintain accurate educational records and documentation
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program required
- Masters Degree in Education required
- Active New York State RN License required
- Primary Source Verification from NYS Department of Education (NYSED) required
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of Perioperative (Periop) background required
- Strong clinical and educational background preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and teaching abilities
- Experience in staff development and clinical education programs
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
