RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RNKP

Job Title: Registered Nurse Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Location: Neptune NJ
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week 36 Hours/Week

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a specialized NICU team and provide high-quality care to critically ill neonatal patients in a fast-paced pediatric environment.

Responsibilities:

Assess develop and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned neonatal patients
Deliver advanced therapeutic nursing interventions and manage complex neonatal care needs
Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in acuity and treatment requirements
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with nursing standards
Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Float to Pediatrics and PICU as needed to support patient care coverage

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of NICU PICU or Pediatric nursing experience
ASN required; BSN preferred
Active New Jersey RN license or compact license
Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Active NRP certification (AHA Only)
Strong critical thinking prioritization and rapid assessment skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Schedule Notes: Includes every other weekend. Holiday requirement as needed. No on-call requirements.
