Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg (Telemetry)

Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Job Type: Travel Assignment 12 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week 3 Days/Week

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg (Telemetry) for a travel opportunity at a large acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong medical-surgical nursing skills telemetry monitoring experience and the ability to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg telemetry patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and report abnormalities
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Start IVs and maintain intravenous therapy
Collect blood specimens and perform lab-related procedures
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Document patient care using EPIC EMR
Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies
Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge planning
Follow hospital safety infection control and compliance standards

Requirements:

Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med/Surg experience within the last 2 years
Acute care hospital experience required
Strong telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
Experience starting IVs and drawing blood specimens
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States

Preferred:
Level 1 Trauma experience
Level 2 Trauma experience
EPIC EMR experience

Required Certifications & Licenses:
Active New York State RN License
BLS Certification (AHA)
Telemetry Monitoring Competency
IV Therapy Skills
