Title: RN - Med/Surg
Location: Manhattan NY
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:30 AM-8:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Prepare administer and document prescribed medications.
• Perform dressing changes catheter insertions and IV starts.
• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as needed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report adverse reactions promptly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records medical charts and health documentation.
• Adhere to established nursing standards best practices and clinical protocols.

Required Experience

Acute Care Facilities

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience in a large acute care hospital.
• Most recent experience must be within the past year.

Post-Acute Facilities

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a post-acute facility or acute care hospital.
• Most recent experience must be within the past year.

Education Requirements

• Primary Source Verification of RN License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
