RN MedicalSurgical Tele (MSTele)

Location: 900 23rd Street Northwest Washington DC 20037
Shift: 3 x 12s night shift

The RN - Medical/Surgical Tele (MS/Tele) position requires two years of Med/Surg Tele experience and two years of RN experience. Candidates must have Cerner experience current Registered Nurse licensure and NIHSS BLS and ACLS certifications. The role involves providing patient care performing initial and ongoing assessments determining appropriate nursing needs and maintaining required documentation.

• Fulfill the needs of patients families and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure certification training and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver care to patients in a competent capable caring and efficient manner.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
• Obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients needs.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the range of treatment needed by assigned patients.
• Make initial assessments and determine appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients supported by appropriate documentation.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients including a review of systems supported by appropriate documentation.
• Complete admission assessments within the timeframe established according to policies and procedures.

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.

• BSN - Highly desired.

• NIHSS
• BLS
• ACLS
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district.

• 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience.
• 2 years of RN experience.
• Cerner experience required.

• 3 x 12s night shift.
• Candidate must live 50 miles away.
