As our Wound Care Nurse you will specialize in comprehensive wound and ostomy care. You will elevate care quality optimize patient outcomes and ensure cost-effective management.

- Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients visitors staff and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate.
- Performs initial assessment utilizing professional nursing knowledge and skills. Appropriately assess for: a. physical & psychosocial emotional needs b. pain level c. barriers to learning d. educational learning needs e. discharge needs f. age related needs g. issues related to assault or abuse
- Analyzes patient related data such as vital signs past medical history prenatal history physical exam findings laboratory values and other information including age specific criteria to determine appropriate care.
- Provides health education and teaching to patient family and significant others that is age specific providing for any barriers to learning. Clearly communicates health treatment and discharge information ensuring the patient family member or significant other understands all discharge and follow-up instructions.
- Plans nursing care based on priority of physical and psychosocial emotional needs.
- Implements the plan of care including prescribed procedures and treatments
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; and One to two years clinical nursing experience upon hire and
- however the experience requirement is waived for newly graduated nurses selected for a New Grad Orientation program. and
- Registered Nurse: CA upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
- Certified Wound Care Nurse
