Job Summary

Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment planning implementation and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice the goals of Mercy Health System the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg ICU

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd St. Louis Missouri 63128

Schedule:Full-Time 36 hours/week

Shift:Nights

Sign-On Bonus:

  • Experienced Nurses:Up to$10000

  • New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience):Up to$5000

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing

  • Nursing Diploma

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

  • Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education:BSN preferred

  • Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred

  • Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push pull and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift

  • Ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
