Job Summary

Travel Registered Nurse Long-Term Care (LTC) Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long-Term Care (LTC) travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care nursing excellent clinical assessment skills and the ability to provide compassionate resident-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts weekends holidays and varying patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to long-term care residents.

  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

  • Administer medications treatments and therapies as prescribed.

  • Monitor residents conditions and communicate significant changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies state regulations and nursing standards of practice.

  • Educate residents and family members regarding care plans and treatment goals.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote optimal resident outcomes.

  • Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition.

Qualifications
  • Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to the start of the assignment.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.

  • Recent Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Certifications

The following certifications may be beneficial based on unit needs and patient population:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)

  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)

  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)

  • STABLE Program

  • Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)

  • Additional specialty certifications relevant to nursing practice

Schedule
  • Rotating shifts

  • 40 hours per week

  • Must be available to work weekends as needed

  • Holiday coverage required
