RN Long Term Care

We are seeking an experienced Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.

• Communicate pertinent patient information and changes in condition to physicians nurse practitioners and other healthcare providers.

• Complete admissions transfers and discharge processes.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.

• Provide specialized nursing care including:

  • Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care

  • Urinary catheter care

  • Nebulizer treatments

  • Wound vacuum (Wound Vac) management

  • CPAP therapy support

• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.

• Maintain compliance with all regulatory safety and infection control standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Varied 8-hour shifts:

  • Days: 7:30 AM 3:30 PM

  • Evenings: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM

  • Nights: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM

• Weekend holiday and overtime rotations may be required.

• No guarantee of specific hours or shift preference.

• Minimum of two (2) years of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred.

• Current Hawaii RN License required by assignment start date.

• Candidates without an active Hawaii license must apply for licensure upon acceptance of the assignment.

• Strong clinical assessment communication and patient care skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)

• Travelers must be available to complete all pre-employment and compliance requirements prior to the start of the assignment.
