Job Summary

Job Title: RN Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)

Location: Joplin MO
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days 36 Hours Weekly

Compensation:
  • Traveler Pay: $52$55/hr ($1794$1897/week) based on experience
  • Local Pay: $45$48/hr ($1552$1656/week) based on experience
Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) to provide high-quality nursing care for medically complex patients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing critical care patients ventilators tracheostomies IV drips and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for medically complex LTAC patients
  • Monitor and manage ventilators tracheostomies IV drips and other advanced patient care treatments
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs laboratory results cardiac rhythms and responses to treatment
  • Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists rehabilitation staff and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
  • Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
  • Provide compassionate patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety infection prevention and quality care standards
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes
Required Qualifications:
Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active Missouri RN License or Compact RN License
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required
Experience:
  • Minimum 12 years of LTAC nursing experience required
  • Experience caring for critically ill or medically complex patients preferred
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills
  • Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy patient care
  • Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and IV medication administration
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-acuity environment
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
