We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery to join a high-performing maternal care team. The ideal candidate will have recent Labor & Delivery experience and demonstrate strong clinical judgment excellent patient communication and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional care to mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring delivering and postpartum patients in accordance with established standards of practice
Assess monitor and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
Administer medications treatments and interventions as ordered
Assist physicians and interdisciplinary teams during labor delivery and emergency situations
Monitor fetal heart tracings and identify changes requiring intervention
Educate patients and families regarding labor progression delivery expectations recovery and newborn care
Support patient safety initiatives and maintain accurate medical documentation
Collaborate with obstetricians anesthesiology neonatal teams and support staff to coordinate patient care
Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies while maintaining a calm and patient-centered approach
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Strong assessment communication and critical thinking skills
