Job Title: Registered Nurse Inpatient Behavioral Health

Location: Belle Mead NJ
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Day Shift (6:45 AM 7:15 PM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week 36 Hours/Week

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join an inpatient Behavioral Health team providing high-quality psychiatric care across adolescent adult and older adult populations. This role supports comprehensive patient care in a therapeutic and fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Responsibilities:

Complete comprehensive nursing admission assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
Develop implement and review individualized treatment plans
Administer medications and monitor patient responses and adverse reactions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
Provide crisis intervention and support a safe therapeutic environment
Apply de-escalation techniques and least-restrictive care approaches
Conduct nursing psycho-educational groups for patients and families
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning conferences
Collaborate with psychiatrists therapists and social workers to optimize outcomes

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience
Experience in Float Pool environment preferred
ASN required; BSN preferred
Active unrestricted New Jersey RN license or compact license
Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Strong understanding of age-specific psychiatric care needs
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Schedule Notes: Includes every other weekend. No holiday or on-call requirements.
