RN ICUPCUMS

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care across Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical (MS) settings. This role requires flexibility to float between units as needed and the ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care skills sound clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in ICU PCU and Medical-Surgical units.

• Monitor assess and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.

• Administer medications treatments and therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.

• Collaborate with physicians interdisciplinary teams patients and families to coordinate care plans.

• Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the electronic medical record system.

• Float between assigned units based on patient care needs and staffing requirements.

• Adhere to infection control patient safety and hospital regulatory standards.

• 13-week contract assignment.

• Rotating 12-hour shifts.

• Must be available to work weekends including consecutive weekends if required.

• Holiday coverage required.

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in acute care settings.

• Recent experience in ICU and/or PCU required.

• Strong critical thinking multitasking and communication skills.

• Ability to adapt to varying patient acuity levels and unit assignments.

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to contract start.

• Current certifications may include:

  • BLS/BCLS

  • ACLS

  • PALS

  • NRP

  • TNCC

  • ENPC

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

  • Additional specialty certifications as applicable

• EMR system utilized: Cerner

• Holiday pay eligibility applies only when the shift begins on the recognized holiday.

• This position requires flexibility reliability and the ability to support multiple patient care units based on operational needs.
