CHI Health St. Elizabeth founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889 is a full-service 260-bed nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln Neb. St. Elizabeth specializes in the treatment areas of newborn and pediatric care womens health burn and wound cardiology oncology emergency medicine orthopedics and neuroscience.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Intensive Care Unit at CHI Health St. Elizabeth is a 16-bed critical care unit incorporating a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients with many disease processes. The ICU is a Beacon Award for Excellence Gold Status recipient from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) signifying excellence in quality safety and experience..


As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patients individual physician. This will involve utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.

Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:

  • Monitoring patients conditions and assessing their needs
  • Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Administering patients medications and providing treatments according to physicians orders
  • Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

Compensation: Base rate shift differential

Incentives: up to $10000 sign on bonus up to $10000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years)

Tuition Reimbursement - $5525 for full time and $2750 for part time

Nurse Residency offered for all New Graduates - Residency Cohorts:

April 27th 2026

July 20th 2026

Job Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Specialty certification (ex: PCCN CCRN CNOR CEN) preferred
  • Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas
