About Us - Cardiology UnitLocated on the second floor at Freeman Hospital WestCardiology is a fast-paced high-energy procedurally driven unit caring for patients with cardiac or vascular ailments45-bed unit focused on anything and everything HEART!Bedside care is delivered by a team of high-quality nursing staff consisting of Registered Nurses New Graduate Nurses Unit Techs and Unit SecretariesWhat Youll DoIn Conjunction With The Medical Plan Of Care Independently Performs Systematic And Continuous Assessment Of The Physical Emotional Clinical And Psychosocial Needs Of Assigned Patients And Families; Plans And Implements Appropriate Interventions; And Evaluates Effectiveness And Adjusts Plan As Indicated In A Timely Manner In The Provision Of Safe And Effective :Current Missouri Registered Nurse License Or Current Registered Nurse License From A Compact State. If A Compact License Is Held It Must Be In The Nurses State Of Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) Within 180 DaysIf No Experience As An Rn Or LPN In A Hospital Setting Or It Has Been More Than 5 Years Since Last Worked In A Hospital Setting Nurses Must Successfully Pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) Within 30 ACLS Within 120 BLS For Healthcare Providers Within 30 Disease CEU Hours - 8 Per Year Annually By Transcript Due Stroke Scale Certification Within 120 Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) Within 180 Competency Day Annually By Transcript Due CEU Hours - 4 Per Year Annually By Transcript Due Date.
