IMC is currentlyhiring aRegistered Nurse GI Lab who under the generalsupervision of the Unit Director OR Clinical Coordinator and with theauthority of the Chief Nursing Officer will apply nursing process (assessmentplanning intervention and evaluation) in caring for patients. Effectivelyinteract with patient significant others and other heath team members. Demonstratesknowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physicalpsycho/social education safety and related criteria for the newbornpediatric adolescent adult and geriatric population.

WORK HOURS: Fulltime usually 36 hours per week. 0615 t0 1445Monday-Friday Five 8 hour workdays more or less to provide departmentalcoverage as required to meet patient care needs. Call rotation with otherPACU nurses to provide coverage from 0800 to 2000 including weekends andholidays.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of state approved RN School of nursing.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

• Current license as a RN in the State of Louisiana.

TRAINING ANDEXPERIENCE

• Previous experience preferred but not required.

JOBKNOWLEDGE

• Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• Basic knowledge of biology and chemistry.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures.
• Ability to direct other team members in an effective manner.
