Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a contract assignment in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong emergency nursing skills excellent critical thinking abilities and experience managing a wide range of patient acuity levels.
Schedule-
Contract assignment

36 hours per week

Three 12-hour shifts per week
-
Rotating shifts (days evenings nights as assigned)

Must be available to work consecutive weekends as needed
-
Holiday coverage required
-
Assess prioritize and provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
-
Perform rapid patient evaluations and initiate appropriate interventions
-
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
-
Administer medications treatments and emergency procedures according to physician orders and facility protocols
-
Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
-
Assist with trauma cardiac respiratory and other emergency situations
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
-
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
-
Ensure compliance with safety infection control and quality standards
-
Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to contract start
-
Minimum of 5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
-
Strong clinical assessment and critical care skills
-
Ability to thrive in a high-volume fast-paced environment

BLS (Basic Life Support)
-
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
-
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Candidates with any of the following certifications are highly desired:

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)

ASLS (Advanced Stroke Life Support)

Other specialty certifications relevant to emergency nursing practice

Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Emergency patient triage and prioritization

Trauma and critical care management

Rapid decision-making and problem-solving

Effective communication and teamwork

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Patient and family-centered care

Candidates must maintain all required licenses and certifications throughout the duration of the assignment.
