Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy / Special Procedures

Location: York ME
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 4x9s
Hours: 6:30 AM 4:00 PM (Variable Shifts as Needed)
On-Call: Required

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy / Special Procedures Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in York Maine. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled procedural nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient care throughout the procedural experience.

Requirements:

  • Active Maine Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Compact License required.

  • Minimum 5 years of overall nursing experience required.

  • Minimum 12 years of Endoscopy and/or Critical Care (ICU/ER) experience required.

  • Current BLS/BCLS Certification required.

  • Current ACLS Certification required.

  • Strong patient assessment and procedural nursing skills.

  • Experience with procedural sedation and patient monitoring preferred.

  • Excellent communication critical-thinking and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and specialized procedures.

  • Manage patient care during pre-procedure intra-procedure and post-procedure phases.

  • Monitor patient vital signs sedation status and recovery progress.

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain procedural equipment and supplies.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and procedural activities.

  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures recovery and discharge instructions.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Participate in required on-call coverage and holiday rotations as assigned.

  • Maintain compliance with safety infection control and regulatory standards.

Additional Information:

  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week.

  • On-call rotation required.

  • Holiday coverage may be required based on department needs.
