Job Summary

Title: RN Endoscopy / GI Nurse

Location: Potsdam NY

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: MondayFriday Day Shift
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

On-Call Requirement:

  • Some weekend call required

  • One night of call every 712 days

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an experienced Endoscopy / GI Registered Nurse to support both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care safety and infection control.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during endoscopy and GI procedures

  • Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for cases

  • Assist with biopsies and specimen collection

  • Perform procedure setup and patient preparation

  • Support colonoscopy EGD bronchoscopy EBUS EUS and dilation procedures

  • Operate and maintain endoscopy equipment and accessories

  • Ensure proper instrument processing sterilization and high-level disinfection (HLD)

  • Follow infection control and universal protocol procedures

  • Handle pathology cytology gastric brushing and bronchoscopy specimens

  • Restock procedure rooms and supply carts

  • Complete room turnover and end-of-day closing procedures

  • Document procedures using Provation software

  • Maintain patient safety and quality standards throughout procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • BLS Certification required

  • Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy GI or procedural nursing experience

  • Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient endoscopy settings

  • Strong knowledge of endoscopy equipment sterilization and infection control practices

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
