Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality fast-paced emergency care in a hospital emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills the ability to respond quickly in urgent situations and experience caring for a wide variety of emergency and trauma patients.
This role requires flexibility excellent communication and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care in the emergency department
- Provide rapid assessment and stabilization of emergency patients
- Administer medications IV therapy blood products and emergency treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Perform emergency procedures and assist physicians during critical interventions
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Coordinate care with physicians specialists and ancillary departments
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety standards and infection control guidelines
- Deliver compassionate patient-centered emergency care in a high-acuity environment
- Night shift
- 12-hour shifts
- Three shifts per week
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Holiday coverage may be required
- Active California Registered Nurse license required
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current PALS certification required
- Proof of negative TB screening within 12 months prior to contract start required
- Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
- Experience managing critical and high-acuity patients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills
- CPSI/Evident
- Fast-paced emergency department setting
- Requires ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies and high-stress situations
- Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment
- Contract assignment with quick start availability
- Candidates must meet all onboarding and compliance requirements prior to assignment start
