Wayne Hospital is a Magnet-designated facility that provides exceptional nursing and advanced medical surgical emergency and critical care services for patients throughout the greater Wayne area.
Serving the region since 1957 this 99-bed full-service acute care center is the only one in the Wayne Westland Garden City Canton Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III trauma center and certified by The Joint Commission. The hospital has a long-standing partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a variety of health and communicable disease concerns. This community-focused hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high-preforming facility in congestive heart failure chronic obstructive pulmonary disease kidney failure and maternal services.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Under general direction maintains 24-hour responsibility and accountability for providing leadership and management of a designated patient care unit which promotes quality nursing care cost effective use of resources and professional growth for nursing staff. Promotes a Patient Family Centered Care Culture.
- Required Bachelors Degree in nursing.
- Preferred Masters Degree
- 3 years of relevant experience Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience. Required
- 1 year of relevant experience Minimum of one year of formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants. Required
- 2 years of relevant experience Minimum of 2 years demonstrated informal leadership experience required for internal applicants may include but are not limited to: Charge Lead Nurse Charge Nurse responsibilities leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council etc. Required
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown 2 Yrs required
