Job Summary

RN Cath Lab

Location: Mission Hills CA 91345

Shift: Days (7:00 AM 5:30 PM)

Hours: 4x10s 40 Hours per Week

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assess patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures

  • Monitor patients during procedures including hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation

  • Administer medications moderate sedation and contrast agents per physician orders and facility protocols

  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization angioplasty stent placement electrophysiology studies and other cardiovascular procedures

  • Monitor and manage patient recovery following procedures and respond to complications as needed

  • Provide patient and family education regarding procedures recovery expectations and discharge instructions

  • Collaborate with cardiologists technologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments interventions and procedural outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies infection control standards and regulatory requirements

  • Participate in emergency response situations and maintain readiness for on-call responsibilities as required

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

  • Minimum 12 years of Cath Lab experience

  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures

  • Experience in a hospital-based acute care setting

  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy physiology and disease processes

  • Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation

  • Experience with conscious/moderate sedation administration and monitoring

  • Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and procedural complications

  • Knowledge of cardiac catheterization equipment procedures and sterile techniques

  • Strong critical thinking communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Moderate Sedation Certification

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification

  • Prior travel experience
