Job Summary

Job Title: Registered Nurse Ambulatory Vascular Surgery Clinic
Location: Syracuse NY
Type: Contract 14 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM 42.5 Hours Per Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse Ambulatory Vascular Surgery Clinic for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and patient evaluations.

  • Triage patient phone calls and clinic inquiries prioritizing care needs appropriately.

  • Assist providers with vascular surgery clinic procedures and patient care activities.

  • Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring intervention.

  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and clinic protocols.

  • Educate patients and families regarding vascular conditions treatment plans medications and post-procedure care.

  • Coordinate diagnostic testing referrals follow-up appointments and continuity of care.

  • Accurately document patient encounters and clinical information within EPIC EMR.

  • Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide compassionate patient-centered care while ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

  • Current BLS Certification.

  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent nursing experience within the past 2 years in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity.

  • Experience working in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers for travel candidates.

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ambulatory or outpatient clinic experience.

  • Vascular Surgery Clinic experience.

  • EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

  • Telephone triage experience.

  • Level I Trauma Center experience.

  • Experience coordinating care for complex surgical patients.
