Pay Rate: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities

The Infection Control Epidemiologist II (ICE II) is a licensed registered nurse who supports the planning implementation and evaluation of the Infection Prevention program at The Johns Hopkins this role the nurse leads infection prevention activities within assigned clinical and nonclinical areas ensuring evidencebased infection prevention practices are consistently integrated into patient care to protect patients visitors and staff. Leveraging strong clinical nursing expertise the ICE II conducts surveillance for healthcareassociated infections assesses infection risks manages outbreaks and exposures and provides frontline and leadership education using adult learning principles. The nurse collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive performance improvement initiatives translate epidemiologic data into actionable practice changes and support regulatory and accreditation compliance. Working under the direction of Hospital Epidemiologists and senior Infection Control Epidemiologists the ICE II nurse is accountable to HEIC leadership for advancing program goals and promoting a culture of safety and infection prevention excellence across the organization
