Job Summary
SummaryServe as internal advisor in managing and evaluating aspects of successful Risk Management practices including insurance bonding CCIP subcontractor default insurance other insurance matters and efficient claims management. Assess risk and provide alternatives to offset any potential risk through communication with outside customers corporate and field customers and insurance FunctionsAct as a resource for Operations Business Development Preconstruction Finance and Legal on all Risk Management related internal clients informed of Risk Management trends and in owner contract review for insurance with legal counsel on issues required in owner specialty insurance coverage for placement as required by placement of specialty insurance coverage with Risk Manager all project insurance placements are bound according to contract terms managed and tracked though project performance and closed out at project Preconstruction Operations and Finance are properly advised on all costs related to project insurance Preconstruction and Operations in finding acceptable solutions to Risk Management issues. Assume leadership in training personnel on Risk Management policies and procedures and other topical and run various Risk Management reports for compliance and tracking purposes as subcontractors payment and performance bonds and review for compliance and entry into job management claim reports and maintain claim logs. Assist in the subcontractor prequalification subcontractor insurance exceptions evaluate exposure and effectively communicate issues to Proof of Insurance for off site stored materials and goods in database of exceptions to group and manage all Contractor Controlled Insurance and manage subcontractor default insurance with external contract audit training on Risk and Insurance for owners and others as required by miscellaneous duties as ConditionsThe majority of work is completed in an office setting with intermittent sitting standing and walking. Education Experience and KnowledgeBachelors degree in Risk Management Business or related field is required. Five years experience in the property and casualty insurance industry with three years experience with the construction industry is preferred and will be considered in lieu of academic certification or experience preferred. Strong computer skills in word processing and verbal and written communication ability in document proofreading to organize people tools equipment and other resources and orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish desired leadership skills: willing and able to face challenges delegate and provide direction to others and effectively address personal commitment to improving skills and compensating for weaknesses and hears people out provides information to people in a timely in a manner that shows personal commitment to improving his/her skills; while compensating for weaknesses and in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company it values and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and base compensation range for the role of Risk Manager Operations posted above is $100-125000 is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and the range may be modified in the future. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs. No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned vested and determinable.
