- Must meet district Teacher Assistant (TA) requirements
- Must be highly qualified
- Associates degree
- Or minimum 60 college credits or take and pass the ETS Parapro Assessment with a score of 460 or score 480 on SAT reading and writing and a 530 on math.
- Ability to work with children in a caring nurturing manner
- Experience with teaching reading and writing skills
- Consistent and punctual attendance
- Ability to be flexible with varying student needs and schedule changes
- Effective communication skills (oral & written) with a variety of staff and students
- Must demonstrate initiative positive teamwork and organization skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to monitor and manage student behavior
