Brooklyn NY

About the Role
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on organized and proactive Revenue Cycle Manager to take ownership of the revenue cycle process with a strong focus on claims denials and preventing revenue from being lost.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys identifying problems following issues through to resolution and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
You will work closely with the billing coding and credentialing teams to ensure claims are submitted properly and on time denials are addressed and recurring issues are identified and corrected.
This is not a role for someone who only delegates. The ideal candidate will be a working manager who can manage people while still being willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work.
What Were Looking For
The right candidate is someone who is:
- Experienced in healthcare revenue cycle management particularly with claims billing collections and denials
- Knowledgeable about medical coding and understands how coding and credentialing issues affect claims
- Extremely organized with strong follow-through
- Proactive and naturally looks for problems before they become bigger issues
- A strong problem solver who can investigate and figure things out independently
- Hands-on and willing to do the work not just delegate
- A strong communicator who works well with billing coding credentialing and providers
- Collaborative professional and easy to work with
- Able to eventually manage and hold others accountable while staying involved in the day-to-day work
Experience
Healthcare revenue cycle experience is required.
Experience in a medical practice healthcare clinic hospital nursing home or similar patient-care setting is ideal.
Experience with medical claims denial management billing collections coding credentialing and insurance follow-up is highly valued.
A coding background is a strong plus but the candidate does not need to be a coder. The most important thing is having a strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle and the ability to work effectively with coding and billing teams.
This is a full-time primarily in-office role.
