Job Summary
TheRetirement Client Advisorgenerates new business opportunities and manages a customer portfolio defined in the business plan. This involves being the primary contact for new or existing customers presenting formal product proposals andmaintainingongoing prospects for new business development. This role focuses on building customer relationships and gaining loyalty by listening and responding to customers needs.
Howyoullspend your time:
- Delivers exceptional service in managing his/her book of business and building client relationships
- Partners with internal Portfolio Management and Research to fully understand market narrative manager selection and monitoring strategy decisions and effectively communicate recommendations
- Regularly meetswith clients for on-going plan/investment reviews
- Educates and communicates with clients about market conditions plan/account investments performance strategy changes in regulatory or tax environment and other factors which may influence plan decisions
- Provides consultation to plan sponsors on the development of a participant education program to support the clients objectives
- Facilitate or deliver participant education and advice
- Creates andmaintainsnetworking relationships to create a pipeline of business
- Achieves annual new business revenue goals for assigned accounts and/or territory
- Maintains client information in a CRM tool
- Understands the benefits of products and effectively differentiate UMBs Retirement Services from the competition
- Provides interdisciplinaryexpertiseto clients when needed while partnering with bank leadership and other departments
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Wereexcited to talk to you if:
- You havea BachelorDegree in Business Administration/Management Finance or related fieldorequivalentwork experience
- 5-7 years in the financial services industry with a minimum of 3yearsspecific experience in a sales role
- Broad knowledge of financial markets asset allocation principles and financial products
- Experiencein investment managerselectionand monitoring a plus
- Prior experience with DC retirement plans and understanding of regulations related to ERISA DOL and IRS
- Solid understanding of plan design compliance and testing and industry standards
- Good written/verbal communicationorganizationand client service skills
- Ability tomaintainprofessional working relationships with internal and external clients
- Ability to interpret documents and resolve technical problems
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills toidentifyand recommendappropriate follow-upaction

Compensation Range:
$141354 - $207900The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMBs good faith and reasonable estimate based on its budget and what it expects to be the starting pay for this role but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location experience level and other job-related factors.
