As an Sales Floor Lead- Operations youll help create exceptional customer experiences while supporting team success and driving showroom performance.

From inventory accuracy to store readiness every operational detail plays an important role in supporting our team our customers and the success of the business.
Were looking for a proactive and adaptable leader who can help bring this vision to life through strong operational execution accountability and collaboration. Youll play a key role in establishing the operational standards inventory practices and safety culture that will define how our San Francisco showroom operates from day one.
Within your first few months youll help launch a brand-new store establish foundational operational processes and create an organized efficient and safe environment for both customers and a year youll be proud to say youve helped build a showroom known for its operational excellence inventory accuracy safety compliance and readiness to support exceptional customer experiences every day.
About the new store:
- Our store address is: 2299 Alameda St San Francisco
- Store size: 7000 square feet
- Staff size/ model: 1x Store Manager 2x Assistant Managers 2x Sales Floor Leads 6x Home Experts (associates)
- Hours of operation: The store is open 7 days per week 10 am - 7 am.
Interview and Onboarding Schedule
First Interview ( June 29th- July 3rd)
- A 30-minute video interview with our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your background and interest in Article.
Final Interview (July 7th - 8th)
- In person interview with new Store Manager.
What Youll Do
Youll serve as a floor leader within our San Francisco showroom helping create exceptional customer experiences while supporting the operational excellence that keeps the store running smoothly. Youll partner closely with the Store Manager Home Experts and fellow leaders to deliver strong business results and a remarkable customer experience.
Operations Leadership & Store Readiness
- Champion operational excellence across the showroom and back-of-house environment.
- Ensure operational processes standards and SOPs are executed consistently and effectively.
- Support inventory accuracy through shipment receiving replenishment inventory audits and inventory control practices.
- Maintain a safe organized and operationally ready showroom that enables exceptional customer experiences.
- Lead Health & Safety initiatives ensuring compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support operational readiness for promotions events inventory activities and new business initiatives.
- Monitor inventory discrepancies damages and product recovery processes partnering with leadership to resolve issues quickly.
- Coach associates on operational standards safety practices and accountability for execution.
- Partner with Store Leadership and Retail Operations teams to identify process improvements and remove barriers to execution.
- Review operational metrics and business trends to support continuous improvement and overall store performance.
Sales Leadership & Customer Experience
- Create welcoming engaging and personalized experiences for every customer.
- Build genuine relationships that inspire trust and long-term customer loyalty.
- Guide customers through the buying journey by understanding their needs and recommending solutions that help them create beautiful spaces in their homes.
- Consistently achieve individual sales goals while contributing to overall showroom performance.
- Lead by example through proactive selling behaviors and customer service excellence.
- Support onboarding and training of new Home Experts.
- Provide day-to-day coaching feedback and support to help team members grow their sales and customer service skills.
- Partner with Store Leadership to ensure consistent execution of customer experience standards and sales processes.
Who You Are
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in retail hospitality customer service sales or a similar customer-facing environment.
- Previous experience as a keyholder Lead or informal team leader is an asset.
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
- Experience balancing customer experience priorities with operational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to frequently move throughout the showroom and back-of-house environment.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 30 lbs independently or with team assistance.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
