Retail Category Assistant Store Manager (East Location)

North 40 Outfitters is seeking a Full-Time Salaried Assistant Store Manager to help lead our Great Falls team. This leadership role partners directly with the Store Manager to drive sales develop team members oversee daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven retail leader with strong people management skills a passion for coaching others and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As an Assistant Store Manager at North 40 you will be responsible for the customer experience and will ensure we exceed order to succeed in the position you will need to be an enthusiastic person who can optimistically handle a challenging and fast-paced environment.  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead coach and develop a sales team of 20 employees
• Drive sales performance and execute business goals
• Support hiring training scheduling and performance management
• Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing routines
• Manage freight flow inventory merchandising and replenishment
• Ensure store safety security and operational compliance
• Deliver exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
• Partner with the Store Manager to drive results and continuously improve store performance

This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.  As this is a managerial position it is not uncommon to work 50 hours a week.  This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

Qualifications :

• Previous retail management or leadership experience required
• Experience leading and developing large teams
• Strong communication coaching and decision-making skills
• Proven accountability for team performance and results
• Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced retail environment
• Experience with merchandising inventory management and sales leadership preferred
• Farm & ranch outdoor recreation hardware or animal health knowledge is a plus
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain required certifications preferred
