Rest Area Groundskeeper

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a dedicated and proactive Rest Area Groundskeeper to manage grounds maintenance lawn care and the planting of flowers and shrubs at designated rest areas. This role will report directly to the Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Complete groundskeeping and maintenance tasks on time.
• Keep public areas clean neat and free of trash and debris.
• Mow lawns and maintain landscaping using equipment such as tractors zero-turn mowers edgers and blowers.
• Pressure wash and paint outdoor areas when needed.
• Care for plants flowers trees and butterfly gardens including replanting as necessary.
• Paint and maintain parking lot lines and roadway markings.
• Perform minor repairs to buildings grounds and equipment.
• Help keep rest areas in excellent condition and meet inspection standards.
• Look for ways to improve the appearance and upkeep of the facilities.
• Work independently with little supervision.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service to visitors.
• Follow all FDOT and company safety policies.
• Help ensure the safety and convenience of the public.
• Report vandalism theft accidents suspicious activity and maintenance issues.
• Keep storage areas clean organized and secure.
• Remove trash from grounds parking lots and walkways.
• Safely use hand tools and power equipment.
• Work well with coworkers customers contractors security and suppliers.
• Support a positive customer-focused work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• A valid drivers license is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in groundskeeping maintenance or operating related equipment.
• Must have reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week (6:30 AM- 2:30 PM)
• Ability to communicate with managers via phone text or email.
• Self-motivated capable of working independently and trustworthy.
• Must adhere to the companys drug and alcohol policy.

Pay rate: $14.00/hourly
