Shift: Night Shift 4x12s (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in a high-acuity hospital setting in Indianapolis IN. The role involves providing advanced respiratory care in critical care and neuro diagnostic environments while supporting a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to ICU and acute care patients
  • Manage ventilator support including setup monitoring adjustments and weaning protocols
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation support
  • Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate respiratory therapy interventions
  • Assist in emergency airway management and code response situations
  • Administer prescribed respiratory medications and treatments
  • Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and other clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols safety standards and infection control guidelines
  • Support neuro diagnostics respiratory procedures as required
  • Participate in patient transport and critical care transitions when needed
Requirements
  • Active Indiana RRT License
  • NBRC (RRT) Certification required
  • Current BLS & ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years Respiratory Therapy experience
  • At least 18 months recent ICU experience
  • Graduate of CoARC-accredited program (CHEA recognized institution preferred)
