6p-6:30a weekend and holiday rotation
Provide expert respiratory care to a diverse patient population across inpatient and outpatient settings ranging from neonates to adults. Deliver safe efficient and compassionate respiratory therapies and diagnostic testing while maintaining equipment documenting accurately and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Evaluate patients respiratory conditions by conducting physical
examinations and reviewing medical histories.
Administer respiratory therapies including medical gas delivery
nebulization chest physiotherapy airway management and
mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive) for pediatric
adolescent adult and neonatal patients.
Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas (ABG) collection
and analysis pulmonary function testing and pulse oximetry
Monitor patient physiological responses to treatments and adjust care
or escalate concerns as appropriate.
Manage artificial airways and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to
ensure patient safety and therapy effectiveness.
Active member of the medical emergency response teams.
Maintain accurate timely and thorough documentation in the patient
electronic medical record (EMR.).
Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
regarding patient status and therapy plans.
Provide assistance with internal patient transports.
Education:
- Registered Respiratory Therapists as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care .
- Bachelors/Associates degree .
Experience:
- Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire .
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as an RCP in Iowa .
- Current NBRC certificate .
- ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire.
