SCHEDULE & TERRITORY
PRN / Flexible scheduling model
Ideal for therapists seeking 1 day per week every other week or supplemental patient visits
No on call responsibilities

Coverage Area
Approximately 2-hour radius surrounding Searcy AR
Home based patient visits throughout surrounding communities

LOCATION REQUIREMENT
Preferred candidate residence within 25 miles of Searcy AR

RECRUITING NOTES
RRT and CRT candidates accepted
VA affiliated contract market
Candidates must be comfortable with patient facing home visits and travel throughout territory
Personal vehicle required with mileage reimbursement provided
Home respiratory or ventilator experience strongly preferred

OVERVIEW
This is a flexible respiratory therapy role focused on educating training monitoring and supporting patients utilizing home respiratory equipment.

Provide patient education on respiratory equipment and therapy compliance
Conduct in home respiratory patient assessments and follow up visits
Setup and monitor respiratory equipment including:
Invasive ventilators
Noninvasive ventilators
PAP therapy equipment
Oxygen therapy equipment
Infant monitors
Additional high tech respiratory equipment
Assess patient respiratory status and communicate findings to physicians
Adjust ventilator settings according to physician orders and patient assessment
Support patients and caregivers with equipment troubleshooting and therapy education
Maintain timely documentation and patient records
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required
Active CRT or RRT credential required
Active Arkansas Respiratory Therapy license required
Preferred
Home respiratory or home healthcare experience
Ventilator and PAP therapy experience
Respiratory equipment setup and troubleshooting experience
Strong patient education and communication skills
Ability to work independently throughout assigned territory

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Microsoft Office and email communication
EMR/documentation systems
Respiratory equipment and ventilator familiarity preferred
General office and communication tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Daily driving and in home patient visits
Standing walking and sitting for extended periods
Ability to lift and transport respiratory equipment
Exposure to patient care environments and respiratory equipment
