Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests arterial blood gas analysis and sleep studiesAdminister and monitor various forms of respiratory therapy including oxygen therapy mechanical ventilation and inhalation therapyEducate patients and their families on disease management breathing techniques and the use of respiratory equipmentCollaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physicians nurses and sleep technologists to develop and implement patient care plansMaintain accurate and complete patient records and documentationStay up-to-date with the latest developments in respiratory therapy and continuously improve patient care processes
