Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM Every Other Weekend Required
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a leading healthcare facility in Atlanta GA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across a variety of clinical settings collaborating with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Respiratory Therapist looking for a rewarding 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities- Assess treat and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy aerosol medications and other respiratory treatments.
- Operate and manage mechanical ventilators CPAP/BiPAP devices and other respiratory support equipment.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results to guide patient care.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and code teams.
- Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies medications and disease management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the Georgia Composite Medical Board
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
- Current AHA BLS Certification (Required)
- Current AHA ACLS Certification (Required)
- Current AHA PALS Certification (Required)
- 13-week contract assignment
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
- Every Other Weekend Required
- 12-hour shifts in a collaborative hospital environment
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered.
- Candidates should have recent acute care hospital experience and the ability to work independently while managing a diverse patient population.
