Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a leading healthcare facility in Atlanta GA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across a variety of clinical settings collaborating with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Respiratory Therapist looking for a rewarding 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess treat and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
  • Administer oxygen therapy aerosol medications and other respiratory treatments.
  • Operate and manage mechanical ventilators CPAP/BiPAP devices and other respiratory support equipment.
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results to guide patient care.
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and code teams.
  • Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies medications and disease management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the Georgia Composite Medical Board
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
  • Current AHA BLS Certification (Required)
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification (Required)
  • Current AHA PALS Certification (Required)
Schedule & Assignment Details
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
  • Every Other Weekend Required
  • 12-hour shifts in a collaborative hospital environment
Important Notes
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered.
  • Candidates should have recent acute care hospital experience and the ability to work independently while managing a diverse patient population.
