Job Title: Respiratory / Pulmonary Function Lab Technologist
Location: Falmouth MA
Type: Contract 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift 7:00 AM 7:00 PM 3 Shifts Per Week 36 Hours Per Week
Rotating Days No Weekends No Holidays
Pay Rate: $59 - $69/hour
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Respiratory / Pulmonary Function Lab Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Falmouth MA.
Responsibilities
Perform pulmonary function diagnostic studies (PFTs).
Prepare Methacholine solutions for testing procedures.
Assist physicians during bronchoscopies across hospital units.
Maintain calibrate and troubleshoot pulmonary function and respiratory equipment.
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and sputum specimen collection.
Conduct 6-minute walk tests.
Make daily appointment reminder calls and assist with scheduling urgent/stat patients.
Reconcile PFT reports and forward results to ordering providers.
Ensure accurate charge capture documentation and billing reconciliation.
Maintain and restock pulmonary lab supplies and equipment.
Support QA/QI initiatives and departmental policy development.
Train respiratory staff in pulmonary function testing procedures.
Provide respiratory care using therapist-driven protocols when needed.
Maintain service excellence for patients families visitors and staff.
Required Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License.
Current BLS Certification.
Strong communication skills in English (read write and speak).
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT/RPFT).
Minimum 1 year of Pulmonary Function Testing experience.
Experience assisting with bronchoscopies.
Experience performing ABG draws and pulmonary diagnostics.
