Qualifications:

• Education: Education to meet certification license or registration requirements as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Licensure:
  • Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS American Heart Association upon hire
• Experience: Previous experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred but not required; new graduates may be considered.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in respiratory therapy equipment ventilator management airway clearance techniques and oxygen therapy.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication attention to detail ability to work in fast-paced environments and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess treat and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Set up and operate ventilators oxygen delivery systems and other respiratory equipment.
• Administer respiratory therapies including aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis.
• Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate patient records and respond to emergency situations (e.g. code blue).
