THE ROLE

Our client a rehabilitation medical centre is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for their Sleep Lab in Spokane WA. This is a full-time permanent direct-hire position responsible for maintaining and restoring maximum cardiopulmonary function in patients of all ages in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. The role includes shared charge supervision of approximately three employees and requires the interpretation and application of operating procedures technical standards and protocols across varying degrees of clinical complexity. A $20000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and restore maximum functioning of the patients cardiopulmonary system per physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Interpret and apply operating procedures technical standards and protocols to patient care scenarios of varying complexity
  • Exercise initiative in developing ideas and responding to or adjusting to problem situations
  • Perform sleep study assessments and monitoring procedures
  • Serve in a shared charge supervision role for approximately three employees
  • Document clinical findings and communicate patient status accurately

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care
  • Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner License - required upon hire
  • BLS/CPR certification (National Provider - American Heart Association) - required upon hire
  • Sleep Disorders Specialty (National Board for Respiratory Care) - required within 2 years of hire
  • Recent experience in the field of Sleep Study technology

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Associates Degree or higher in Respiratory Care or related field
