Our team is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students in a 3rd5th grade resource room classroom in Illinois. This full-time opportunity is available for the full school year and offers an opportunity to provide individualized instruction and support within an elementary school setting.

What Youll Be Doing:

Participate in IEP meetings and student support meetings.
Adapt lessons assignments instructional materials and assessments.
Monitor student progress and use data to guide instructional decisions.
Support students in developing academic classroom and learning skills.
Maintain accurate student records and special education documentation.
Help create a structured supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Deliver instruction aligned with students IEP goals and individual learning needs.
Provide individualized and small-group instruction in a 3rd5th grade resource-room setting.
Collaborate with general education teachers related service providers administrators and families.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution and possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate special education endorsement including Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I) credentials applicable to the students served. Applicants with a comparable out-of-state special education license may also be considered if they meet Illinois licensure requirements. Strong communication organization classroom management and collaboration skills are essential along with the ability to develop and deliver instruction tailored to individual students needs. Previous school-based special education experience is preferred.
